You know what? That woman is still a mystery for me. I remember watching her on TV when I was a child. She is the co singer of a very well-known Martinican band (at least, in the French countries). Since I’m a kid, I have always found that this beautiful dark skin woman was so sexy, so charming. Imagine that smiling lady, singing Caribbean songs, dancing and turning on her high heels. Her long multicolored dress makes a beautiful round around her.
Then I thought that it’s has been a while I have seen her. So what do you do in this fast communication era? You open your laptop and try of find her on YouTube, right?
I was a bit shocked.
Oh, she almost looked the same as 20 years ago (isn’t that incredible?). No, this is not what caused my surprised. It’s just that…
…she wasn’t that beautiful after all. Was I being a victim of a kind of mystification, an illusion? Well, yes and no?
Because she is still charming, smiling and sexy on recent videos. She still has good manners. The tone of her voice is sexy and friendly at the same time. And there it is! I started to find her attractive.

“Confidence makes you sexy”– Queen Latifah
I will not talk to you about the lipstick effect to make my point here (even if it worth make a little research about that famous discovery). Think about Queen Latifah. In the 80s, she was one of the best female rapper (I would say one of the best female rapper ever). She was not supposed to be considered as sexy woman. She was (and is) overweight but, today, she’s a model.
Hear Queen talking about men who disrespect women. Those who:

She is a very confident woman. Yes, not bad looking at all. But confident is what makes Queen Latifah sexy. Only a few people on earth will have the chance to have the body of a top model. But we all can get the attitude, the confidence that will make us look sexy in our own style.

Feeling great in your body
You already know me, right? This is almost my motto. Feeling great inside will open a thousand of doors for you. The first step to feel great in your body is to be in good shape. No, it’s not that you will have to lose some weight (though it could be a good thing for your health). What you are looking for is to feel your body in a positive way. Think about practicing Pilates or yoga. Those types of exercises are made to help you to be more conscious about your moves. You just start to feel like you are sexier after a while. But, in fact, it’s just that you are accepting your body just like it is. It’s your attitudes that have changed. You start to walk in a different manner. You are more relaxed, more elegant in your movement. This is what I’ve noticed with people around me who are practicing. Do I practice one of those two disciplines? No (but I want to). Many years ago, I’ve chosen another option: martial arts.
You have Karate, Kung Fu, and taekwondo. Or aikido, judo and even, after all, boxing. The choice is up to you. Martial arts do not only put you in great shape. It builds confidence fast.
Of course, you will not become the new Michelle Yeoh. But learning to express some physical power in a positive way may be what you need to make peace with your body and start to feel great inside. You will notice that, just like Yoga do, martial arts change your way of thinking. Meeting people becomes an opportunity to see if you can deal with your shyness. Going to the grocery store is a way to train your arms. You want to dress different to show your beautiful shoulders or your new flat belly.
“I like the way you walk, I like the way you talk”
You know that song, right? It’s one of the most popular CCR songs: Suzie Q. But what the singer, John Fogerty sings, here, is not only a few verses written at random over some music notes. Have no doubt: the way you talk and the way you walk can drive men crazy. They are 2 of the best way to expresses your womanhood, your strength. They show how you are grounded, how you are ready for new adventure.
So let’s start with walking. Some scientific have noticed that the people who think that they are sexy start to move in a certain way (to know more about those results, click here to see the video). Sure, they are a lot of techniques to help you out to find your “feminine way” to walk. To me, it too complicated to keep in mind all those tips. So I will not start to give you a long list to follow (you know that it’s not my style to do that). But here are some shortcuts.
- Do a few hip stretches to loosen that part of your body. You will need to move them while you walk. If you have already started to practice Pilates, Yoga, or martial arts, that part is already done.
- High heels? Yes, it sexy. But if you don’t know how to use them, loose them. Less and less women know how to walk with high heels. A lot of ladies walk like little birds when they are wearing those shoes (kind of doing little jumps instead of walking). Have you ever seen Serena Williams in High heels? I’m a huge fan. But when I see her walking, I say: “Why? You don’t know how to walk with them, girl. Anyway, everybody can see that you have fantastic legs”.
- Tell me. Why the heck do you walk that fast? This is a problem most people have in big cities. Men and women are walking like if somebody was waiting to give them a 1 million dollars in the next street corner. You just can’t look sexy and sure of yourself if you walk that fast. Please lady. Slow down. Just give me some time to look at the sexy-you when you walk by, OK?
Those little tips mixed the good feeling you get as the results of your daily exercises will help you find your own style when you walk. You will have your own way to look sexy. This is what you are looking for, right?
This section will not be that long: some advises said before still apply to the way you talk. For instance, it’s impossible to sound sexy and confident when you talk fast (this principle is true both for men and women by the way). Here, a little study is necessary.
